Which Mac do I need?
A Mac with macOS 13 or later. Brow is made for MacBooks with a notch and also works on other Macs and external displays, as a small island at the top.

        
Which apps does Brow work in?
Anywhere you can type: Mail, Outlook, Gmail in the browser, Slack, Messages, Notes and many more. In Mail and Outlook, Brow opens the reply for you. In other mail apps, click Reply first, then hold fn.

        
How does Brow know my business?
In What Brow Knows, add your website and the files or folders Brow should know, like your price list, services or past emails. Brow reads them on your Mac and refreshes your website every week. When Brow writes for you, it uses your prices and your tone, and shows which source it used. Plain dictation never uses them. Only choose files without patient data or other sensitive information.

        
Which languages can I speak, and which can Brow reply in?
You can speak Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish, English, German, French, Spanish or Italian. Brow replies in the language the email is written in, with the right greeting and tone.

        
What is sent to AI?
Without Pro, nothing. With Pro, what you dictate is sent to be cleaned up, and what you ask Brow to write goes to the AI. Your voice is sent for a more accurate transcription unless you turn on Keep My Voice on This Mac. Nothing is kept. Not for patient data.

        
Does Brow keep my emails or recordings?
No. Brow only sends the open email to the AI when you ask for a reply, and doesn't keep it. The audio is deleted from your Mac as soon as your words are typed. Brow only keeps a note when you ask it to remember something, and only on your Mac.

        
What if Brow gets it wrong?
Brow never sends anything on its own: you read the reply before you press send, and you can edit it like any other text.

        
Do I need an OpenAI or Anthropic account?
No. AI is included in Brow Pro. If you already have an API key, you can use it in Settings › Advanced.
